Questions about the Blancpain Air Command

I just found out about this watch yesterday and I'm really into it. I particularly like that it's a BP with a lug to lug under 50". I can actually wear it. I haven't read much about this watch nor does anyone really talk about it. I'm thinking about saving up for the titanium version which goes for $11-13k. I have a 7" wrist. Should I get the 36" or 42" case? Any thoughts on the wearing experience? Thanks guys!

Go for what is comfortable. This is mine on my 20cm. wrist. 🍻

The 36 will be best for your wrist size. Yours is almost same as mine. Blancpain lugs are sharp AF be warned. You do not want them sticking out.

They look identically styled as the Bathyscaphe lugs.

Here’s my wrist with the 38mm which fitted comfortably with room to spare.

The 42mm does not.

The only thing I can contribute is: definitely buy second hand or “grey market” from a professional dealer - certain brands always provide significant savings from MSRP, even when brand new, and Blancpain is one of them.

I absolutely LOVE the aesthetics of the Air Command. Especially like the countdown bezel!

I think you're right. I just double checked and the lug to lug is actually 51.5mm, not the 49mm I originally wrote. 50mm is the max lug to lug I can wear.

I've always loved the look of this watch. The only thing I haven't understood is why the 45 and 15 minutes mark on the bezel are inverted.

That’s the 42. Those lugs!! If they sloped away nicely it would be totally wearable for our not large, but not small wrists 😂💪

It's a countdown bezel. Admittedly, not very useful unless you are counting down from an hour.

It's a frustrating brand, to me. The weird sizes gatekeep a lot of potential customers from making a purchase. I know the larger dimensions on the fifty fathoms are so you can wear the watch over a scuba suit but why not something smaller for everyday wear?

Also the bezel marker was misaligned on a near £15k watch.

Was perfect on the 38mm. Check carefully 😜

Mine is:

Case Material: Steel

Case Diameter: 42.5 mm

Case Thickness: 13.75 mm

Water Resistance: 3 bar

Lug Width: 22 mm

The one that fits you best. For me I'd go for the 42m.

Thanks for sharing. I've never seen this model either. I like the FF bezel and this gets to a similar feel in a normal size.
