Watch Box
I have an embarrassing number of watches, but would really like a NICE display box for my most loved watches. Any suggestions?

Define an embarrassing amount? I find once one gets over 20 it becomes tough.
I use Wolf Windsor watch boxes for storage, and since they have a clear top, they can also be used for display, even if they need to be viewed from above. For pure display purposes, I prefer the Holme & Hadfield boxes, however they don't fit conveniently in a safe the same way as the Wolf boxes do. In addition, unless you purchase the optional pads, the watches sit on the wood base, which could potentially lead to scratches. For pure display purposes though, they are the best option I've come across for a reasonable price.

You are in the same place I am. Over 24, for “nice” you kind of have to go custom. There are a few builders on Etsy you can commission. A number of the better ones like N&N are out of Russia and are not shipping to the US at the moment.
If you do not mind breaking it up, I use these for a big part of my collection. They are tough as hell, well built, and stack nicely in a safe when I need them to. They are regularly on sale and they often have coupon codes.
I know that I probably should downsize my collection, but each watch has a specific memory of a specific time in my life.
