tagheuer store could not do it
Today I went to tagheuer store in madrid to pickup a bracelet for my monaco. All good, the bracelet arrived quick, just 1 day after I asked. but at the time to adjust it they could not do it 😱. it has screws that must be held on both sides. it is weird that a tag official store is not prepared to do it. they recommended going to a dealer close by (Rabat madrid authorized tag) and luckly they could. Anyway, this is not supposed to happen at an official tag store…goingtotag right?

Makes no sense, Tag store...can I buy a strap...yes...can you fit it...no. If it was me would have been tempted to ask for a refund.
My AD did it. She had a special board with a flat "screwdriver" on it. And A screwdriver. 2 minutes, done.
I guess I appreciate them not scratching it to hell while fumbling around trying to figure it out, but I think they should've had the tools and someone with the skill to do it. If that person couldn't come into work that day or something, I could understand, but to just not have that capability is weird.

Totally agree with u, that was the explanation from their sales rep., not having the appropriate tool, thus better not to damage the bracelet by trying. For that reason + his “solution” of going to the dealer i decided to go ahead. Just think that if you have the product, sold for more than 300bucks, why dont have the tool? That’s just not good business practice. This is a main store of tag, located at one of the best locations in Madrid… anyway, thanks for the comment

I agree it's strange, bordering on lame, that they can't size it, but I suppose maybe it's better to have a place you can buy it without the ability to size it than no place to buy it at all, if they really can't manage to do both for some reason that I don't understand.
