No long lines this time

Got the new blancpain today. It seems that the buzz has dwindled. I arrived at the store after opening and there were less than 15 people queuing…asked the last one on the line and he said..” everybody arrived just now”… no long lines at least here in Madrid where they sell only in one store. Took me less than 20 minutes the whole process. It looks like swatch has overstretched their marketing strategy... The store was ready for a big buzz… lots of security guards, camera man recording everything and taking pics.. I think they were prepared for another day of long lines…well, it was far from it. The watch is actually nice, better than the previous ones (at least for me) and closer to the real BlancPain 50fathoms. Should they have started with it? I mean, instead of trying again the previous strategies? at least from this first day here, it looks like it did not work this time… Unboxing

I am not sure the Blancpain brand has the wide appeal and cache that the Speedmaster has - thus overplaying the collab hand in this instance.
