Zenith Chronomaster Original Pink for Breast Cancer
Just announced the Zenith Chronomaster original in pink. A quick followup to the recently released and sold out Hodinkee Salmon version. It is not a limited manufacturing edition but is a limited time. Not sure what that means exactly ... but it's clearly vague. What's clear, 20% of the price goes to charity.
After owning a Grand Seiko Spring SBGA413, I'm a sucker for a subtle pink watch. However with pink, you really can't trust the online renders and would have to see it in the metal to truly understand the color.
I sold my Grand Seiko Spring and moved into the Tri-Color zenith Chronomaster original. I've had it for a few months now and love it as my daily. At some point want to post a full review, but need to find the time.
This pink version ... if my Tri-Color had a last fling with by SBGA413 before I sold it ... this would probably be the result.
The biggest problem is the price. The Zenith Chronomasters at around 9K are a great value when looking at what you get compared to other brands. But I paid in the 6's for my 2021 tri-color preowned in near mint condition. So you have to really love these online, 'limited' versions over the main line's tri-color or panda versions to be worth the extra $.
Regardless. Love what Zenith is doing with the Chronomaster line and the new El Primero movements. Your thoughts?

My love of watches and the blend of design and engineering far exceeds my wallet. But doesn’t stop me from enjoying this hobby.
Looks great. I like that they are embracing pink vs. salmon.
I agree on price. Zeniths already tend to sit and take hits with greys and secondary market. Another example of brands should price where their watches actually sell, not where they hope they’ll sell for.
Perhaps the best chronograph movement ever made. Certainly a noble cause. Not sure if I would get much use out of a pink dial watch. I'm usually wearing yellow, lol. I love the watch but I don't think the color works for me.

Of course I believe it. It gets disproportionate attention. That's really more a fact than a belief.
