Recharging the old ProTrek

The sun is shining brightly this morning, which is perfect for filling up the old ProTrek PRG-510GB with some electrons.

It's a watch that's been with me for a long time and was worn as a daily watch as well as a field watch for backpacking and camping. It was used hard and the scratches on the PVD coating and the dinged bezel are showing it.

The strap is in terrible condition. One of the reasons I bought the PRG was because of the orange and black motif on the dial and straps. It came originally with two straps and I kept wearing the one which has an inner leather lining. The outer layer, which is probably made of nylon, is fraying badly and the keeper is disintegrating.

I think that that my PRG-510 was one of the first ana-digi ProTrek, and the first to have auto-illumination, which kinda work but not really. It's also a bitch to set and very large, which is why I don't wear it very often.

But there are days when I feel like wearing something funky, and the orange PRG is just what I need.
