A no-date orange in the winter

Or at least a tangerine. My Ahoi is advertised as being red, or using Nomos words “siren red”. To my eyes it still looks more like an orange, which is perhaps the reason why I was not paid by Nomos to write their ads.

Anyway, it’s a colorful one. I need some colors right now because the day is going to be grey and wet, and for me there is nothing better to counter the gloom than a splash of a warm color on the wrist.

It’s also lacking a date window which means that I’m still faithful to my self imposed no-date week. What’s interesting to notice is that I realized that I have a lot more no-date watches than what I estimated at the beginning of the week, and that I’m not as limited in my choices as I thought I would be.

How is the accuracy? I like Nomos, but it is quite expensive for an automatic one.

It's fine for my purposes I guess, but I don't care much about absolute accuracy in mechanical or automatic watches because I don't wear my watches long enough for a few seconds here or there to make a difference.

I have wondered about that lug to lug distance. It seems big.

I agree, more orange than red, perhaps taken from the greenhouse a week early. I love the colours Nomos have released over the last 18 months. Simplicity has never been more interesting 👍

It's about 45-45.4mm, not the worst in the bunch, but the style and shape isn't the best IMO.

Fine watch. Especially in winter 🔥

Love Nomos simplicity and colorways 😍

In Australia we would call that Ochre, the colour of the Outback

That’s a handsome color. Love it for the winter! Bring the warm with you and all.
