Tool storage?

I've seen a few workbenches with tools out and storage drawers etc on the bench, but I don't have the luxury of leaving everything out for the odd occasion I'd use it - I need to pack it away. (My man cave is full of oil paints and art materials, so that's out.)

So I have a bunch of tools that I'm sure many of us who tinker a bit have, like bc6619's post earlier. Currently mine are squeezed into a Mr Jones bag, but they've outgrown it.

I was thinking an electricians / technician's case might work. They seem to have plenty of small pockets and a central section that the timegrapher can sit in, and offers some growing room. Has anyone any suggestions for a portable (storable) option?

As an engineer I have loads of tools and various boxes depending on the task, for watch tinkering I have a molded plastic case as per the pictures, the foam can be cut to suit different shapes/sizes etc.

I have to pack my tools away when I’ve done watch tinkering as I do not have a dedicated work bench and this fits the purpose perfectly👌🏻

Looks like you've got the basics covered, part of why I got in to watch collecting was I ran out of room for My other collection lol but yes having the tools you need is essential and this is a good place to start and grow upon 👍

That's a cool setup, I might look into something like that. Though I can already hear the Mrs asking me how I can find a couple of hours to play with foam for my new box but can't find time to work on the honey-do list!

I keep the plastic tubs that my Chinese takeaway comes in.
