Collection Consolidation
I am fixated on getting the black dial IWC Ingenieur. Going to have to let go of a few nice watches in my current collection to get it. Anyone else selling off a few to get something you are obsessing over at the moment? What is it for you and what are you offloading?

I've never sold a watch and don't intend to. But I'm fortunate in the fact there is no watch I really, really want ATM.
I've offloaded a few, a few vintage divers n dress watches and hommage watches. Used the money to a Vulcain skindiver (ordered and atm waiting for it, hopefully any day will get the notification its on its way).
Sold a couple mid Seikos to get my Grand Seiko SBGN003 and regret nothing.
In 2024, I am hoping to sell off 3 watches, a bunch of higher-end fishing reels and rods, and a few pairs of Allen Edmonds to form a budget for my next purchase (CK859 or Mark XX). Probably not enough but worth starting.
Same here... thinking about letting go 2 Presage Seikos to maybe go full Grand Seiko. Has been getting my attention lately, and would simplify/consolidate my 20+ watch collection a bit. Eventually, would like to go under 10 watches overall. 🤷♂️
Not really moving pieces, but going to focus more on buying those pieces that really are truly special or that I obsess over or have obsessed over even if it means putting some other acquisitions on hold. Even narrowing my list to long term obsessions has felt rewarding.
