Total eclipse of my heart ❤️

In honor of the solar eclipse seen in the United States last Saturday (sorry I’m late), I’ve been rocking my Selten Series 00.04 Aventurine watch!

This micro is next level! The 40mm case with 20mm lug width makes it fit for everyone and also fun to play with straps. It even came with a metal bracelet AND a black leather strap! Sapphire sandwich with AR of course. Blue’d steel seconds hand. Limited edition (1000 units) with your serial number cleverly placed out of sight but still accessible. Miyota 9000 series movement. Basically every spec you hope for, this baby’s got it.

But the very best part is what it does. That sub-dial at 6 o’clock rotates on a 24-hour rate. Meaning the more brightly colored circle will be at the top of the sub-dial at noon everyday, and the dark circle at midnight! It’s an am/pm indicator, simply put. Oh, and did I mention that the little light-colored and dark-colored circles are made of REAL METEORITE?!?!

Lastly, you’ll notice in my two photos that the Breguet style hour hand has an open ring shape on it. That ring aligns perfectly with both the light and dark-colored meteorite pieces as it goes around all day long, THUS ECLIPSING THE SUN AND MOON ☀️ 🌙

Did I tell you this thing is next level or what?! Not affiliated with Selten in any way. Just an incredibly satisfied customer.

Thats lovely. Very tempting 😍👍

It's interesting to see varying perspectives as, I have to be honest, I have the meteorite dial version and I just haven't really been able to click with it. The proportions seem off to me, and the rotor has significant wobble. The hands disappear easily and the brushing on the bezel is a little strange, not concentric but kind of perpendicular. Maybe it's just not for me, and that's okay!

You actually have some good points that I’ve also noticed. By a significant margin, this watch is my most difficult watch to read the time. And I’ve felt and heard the rotor many times too. But mine is just so beautiful to me that I can’t resist it! Haha
