One of my hesitations buying a Chronograph is the second hand snapping back on the reset - that doesn't seem good for a mechanical movement. I understand mega quartz is a combo using both quartz for timekeeping as well as some mechanical parts for the chrono function. I'm having trouble researching it. Does anyone know what the quartz part is used for and what the mechanical portion of the movement is used for? Or maybe a link to a good article explaining it.
