Stone Dials

Hey! 👋🏻 was thinking about my favorite examples of watches with stone dials today and I was curious to know what’s your favorite stone dial?

Forget rolex, go look at sartory billard watches, tell me what you think about stone dials then.

First of all. I’m in love. Second of all, thank you for putting me on to another brand I can’t afford😭

They blew my mind.

I used to have a Malachite fountain pen. It was the most beautiful green.

None of them? 🤷 Sorry, don’t jive with any. Not my style.

I haven't gone down this road yet but I probably will pickup a meteor dial at some point. There are some very nice looking watches using these materials.

·

I complete forgot about tiger eye. Probably because not a lot of brands use it

The red meteorite dial they make is something I didn’t even know was possible

They definitely can be “loud” for sure when you wear something like that

I agree. I have a few loud watches, although more so in color. Probably not for everyone either. I personally just don’t like the idea of stone dials. I’m not the target consumer. I won’t knock anyone who does like them. After all, if we all liked the same thing the world would be pretty boring.

The meteorite Daytona is my grail.

Yeah that’s my grail tbh but not sure I could add a second speedy to the rotation

Moss agate Ricoh. Got one with a tigers eye dial too. Lots of funky stone dials from the 70s.

None of the above
