Konstantin Chaykin x Louis Erard drop coming Apr 25th!

Just heard this on IG, can't wait to see what it is! I hope it's one of Chaykin's Wristmons, possibly something like Frankenstein? Chaykin did one with a Chinese watch maker, Behrens, which was quite cool and more affordable/available. Still a bit pricey though.

I like what Louis Erard tries to do - focus on design and the dial with some cool collaborations like with Alain Silberstein, Massena Lab and that W&W wooden marquetry dial. Very cool.

Can't wait!

What do you think it is? Do you guys like Louis Erard?

Erard is fine and all, but I want a Chaykin. Will be curious to see what they do together. I am sure it will be expensive as you say.

Same, but how easy is it to get it? Have you tried?

I just researched and there is one retailer each in Singapore and Hong Kong, which are very small boutiques of independent brands. Grey market prices are nuts. I'm not dropping 30k on a joker or other Wristmon - too hyped. The Behrens one is like 9-10k USD.

My issue with Louis Erard is that pics looks great, but when I see it in person, something didn't feel right. Eg Aventurine dials are hard to do beautifully and to make them thin. Louis Erard's looked nice in photos, but the aventurine dials layer looked really thick and not very elegant.

It used to be much easier to order directly from Chaykin. Now chrono24 is the best bet, but I cannot justify the price personally. Prior to Covid one could grab a Joker between $6-$10K. The market clearly moved away from that price.

I see, thanks for sharing. I'm gonna chat with the two local boutiques and see what they can do.

Haha, indeed a messed up looking Picasso. Like a one eyed monster. Oh just noticed this is a Louis Erard x Chaykin. Didn't know they collaborated before. Something about this isn't as playful and cute....more scary and eccentric?
