Couple of Dad's pocket watches
Clearing out some of my Dad's things and came across two pocket watches.
One is a PS Bartlett by Waltham Mass. No branding on the dial. Crystal cracked and front cover missing.
The other again has no branding. Movement says Swiss. No crystal but case intact. Case by Elgin of Illinois.
Both presumably sold in the US so no idea how they ended up on the South Coast of the UK.
Anyone have an idea of age?

These are not only beautiful timepieces, they're works of art.
This site may help identify the movement, then you'll be able to roughly date the watch. You just have to tick the right boxes and it'll narrow things down for you.

Drop a reply in if it helps, would love to know, someone has spent many hours creating that thing.
Beautiful pocket watches. Check for a movement number somewhere and tey to look it up online. A few Elgins I have date back to the late 1800s!
