Another RGMT - another Military / Field watch.
But this RGMT is different. It is still quite large - 46 mm, but it has "only" 14mm thickness.
And this thickness is very well concealed by a very clever case design !
The watch nestles even on my - relatively small wrist with 17.3cm, very well and is really very comfortable to wear - precisely because the height is very suitable.
Otherwise, the watch comes with an Automaik movement, 100m WR, Sapphire lens, 24mm wide steel bracelet.
The watch overall has a Black PVD coating.
So technical details are completely fine for the price range, even fairly priced.
The optics is a bit more brute - RGMT usual just. But here with the Field Master, the brakes are still put on a bit and the watch doesn't feature too many extravagances.
Fans of the brand will appreciate it
Overall, it can be said that you get a very powerful and yet for many wrists suitable watch, with very solid specs.

I understand the diameter is a matter of personal preference, but what’s inside that it needs to be so thick?

Most Micro Brands are using Seiko movements ( Nh35a for example). These "standard" are nearly unbreakable - a tractor but they also need a "lot of space" in the watch.
But 14 mm here is quite "slim".
Some Diver watches, that are using the Nh35a, have also a huge WR ( 300/500/1000m).
The more WR you have - the higher watch is ( in general).

@thekris - Miyota for example gives the opportunity that the watch can be kept slimmer because their Miyota 9*** Movement range is slim !
Spinnaker for example - they`ve released the Spence with 300m WR but it`s slimmer than a rolex submariner. It`s because of a good casedesign + slim movement.
What's the shock resistance, mate? Because people here got NH movements too and unless that thing's packing a NH34 it either got some super thick shock absorbers or whoever made it just decide thick=rugged.
