Love finding a NOS Seiko!

Picked up this little flieger after seeing one on instagram and diving straight into the eBay rabbit hole.

I’m not a field watch or flieger person usually. I’ll throw money at more divers all day long but rarely get my head turned by any military style watch.

This one, though, is the first generation of the Seiko 5 SNK field watches that have been in production continuously since the late 80s. The first gen isn’t branded with the 5 and is a modest 35mm. The red on the dial is a perfect blast of color and the brushed case is really lovely.

The bracelet felt bulky and overpowered the watch so onto this two piece nato it went. I also have a red leather strap on its way from Fluco and figure it’s going to look amazing on it.

I don’t need any more watches (say it with me) but nothing is more fun than finding an inexpensive little gem that just fits into the collection perfectly. Hopefully I’ll get some time with this one before flinging my debit card at something else!

I love that colour combination.

That's a nice, crisp and clean looking piece. That's a great strap choice on your part. It goes perfectly with it. The red, white and blue dial says America 🇺🇸. I see why you went for it. Very nice!

Nice! I used to hunt for NOS Seikos when I was living in Tokyo. Their old designs are great.

I would love to do that someday! It’s really fun but rare these days to find really clean untouched ones.
