This is the watch that got me started on this amazing journey and hobby.
1950s Rolex Datejust that my grandfather passed down to me. Opened my eyes into how much work and science go into time pieces. I get it tuned every 2 to 3 years at this point as it gains every year.
It's a nostalgic piece that I mix in every once in a while, especially into the office. The one piece in my collection that I would never part with and will pass down to one of my sons.

Elegant and timeless. I'm not sure if it's the proportions or the patina (probably both), but it's so much better looking than a modern Datejust.
