I chose SNKE01J1 over SNXS79J1

I bought SNXS79J1 at first but then i gave up on trying to adjust the cheap bracelet that came with it…i sold it after a week.

Then, i came across this SNKE01J1 which comes with a thicker and better material bracelet…it has button clasp and super easy to adjust to my wrist.

I believe this is a keeper…quiet comfortable so far…

what’s your experience with these 2 models from seiko? Am i the only one who got frustrated with the SNXS79 bracelet’s?

That’s a nice looking Seiko! Almost looks like a Grand Seiko SBGN027. I’ve considered picking one of those up myself. I do have an SNXS79 that I wore on the original bracelet for a little while. I kind of like those old jangly folded steel bracelets. They have a certain charm to them. But I ended up swapping the SNXS79 dial into a different case and installing an Uncle Seiko bracelet. It turned out very nice. I love these old Seiko 5 watches.

I used to find removing the folded bracelet links frustrating, but I’ve found tools that have been working well for me. The awl from a Swiss Army Knife and a small pair of pliers seems to make quick work of bracelet adjustment.

Ah yes…i was looking at the uncle seiko to replace the bracelet at first instead of adjusting it, but the price of the bracelet is almost the same as the watch itself so i did not go for it.

i was going to rock the original bracelet but gave up too early on adjusting it … i guess.

it is a good looking dial …i still love the dial :)

Seiko 5s (the old school little ones) have as good looking as a dial as you will see anywhere.
