Female/ women’s watch mods

Hello, new here!

I have been looking around and came across some watch mods. I am really interested in it all but have found a lack of resources for women’s mods. Either there is not much on that or I am not looking in the right place. So to see which is the problem, I decided to sign up to watch crunch to see if any experts could help me. I’d love to see some women’s watch mods or just get some advice from you all!

Welcome Arin.  My wife loved my CasiOak mod so she bought this one in rose gold color.  After wearing it a bit she decided it was too large and heavy.  She told me to sell it.  That is my 7 1/2" wrist in the picture.

Well, if you mean purchased parts, that tends to be for the big stuff.

Modding is a wide field. You can get bottom-end Casio models and paint analog dials, tint or polarize digital displays. You can oil fill any quartz. I'm not sure what you're looking to do.

Thanks for replying and sorry for being a bit unclear.

I would like to explore into changing a watch through aftermarket parts such as changing out the dial, case, bezel etc.. I am particularly interested in Seiko mods but have seen little to no modded watches that are made for smaller wrists (women’s). I’d honestly just like some guidance on how I’d go about purchasing parts that are catered to women as I have not seen any so far.

Hm. True, there are few modding parts for those. But the great advantage of doing women's watches is you can take so much more fashion liberties. I guess you gotta go mostly DIY here - exchanging the case and bezel would be pretty much out of the question due to lack of options, but you might find a different crystal, and of course strap / bracelets. Straps are also fun to DIY. Then again, who says a case can't be made of super-sculpy, JB-Weld, wood, or papier-mache? Custom hands are, I believe, hard to find, but you can tint and cut the originals. Or make your own - don't have to be metal, no? Custom dials are prob. also not available ready-made, but you can paint the original, patina it, or bedazzle it, or smoothen it and make your own graphics and apply them via water transfer decal (there's YT videos on this). Gold leafing is easy to learn too.

So I say go for it - style your heart out - just get a couple cheapos from the flea market, and start tinkering! Looking forward to seeing your creations.
