Does anyone have experience with Caintè watches?

just today I got an ad on Instagram and I was hooked because the design was simple but still not too generic to be uninteresting.. at least not to me.

However I never heard of the brand and I’m curious whether their watches are any good or if it’s just another kickstarter fashion watch company rising up from the ashes. For now they only got two models with different dial colors and they retail for around 300-400€ which is a lot considering there are little to no information on movement, dimensions, materials..

Do any of you guys have experience with that brand and if not, what would be some better alternatives in that price range and with that design.

Doesn't look like anything special. Not sure of the price but I'm sure that you can get something similar from a more established brand like Seiko, Casio, Bulova, or Citizen for a budget price. the design is pretty generic.

For that money i would err on the side of caution and choose a much more established brand.

yeah sure I can but I needed specific models :)

I know they all got something like that but idk what watches these are and whether they’re even still being sold (Seiko problem)

Thx for the reply I appreciate it

Ive gotten the ads as well the watch looks pretty neat but its an unknown brand with no review on the internet.

I believe it is a bit overpriced in my opinion. You can find a lot of good branded wathces for the same price.

I hope someone could review their wathces in the near future.

Yes I have there Claude White.

I don’t know where you are from, but they are well established here in Scandinavia.

I’m very impressed about their quality but mostly their designs.

Regarding the reviews, I can see they have 600+ reviews on trustpilot.

Did you get it at the end? I am thinking about the blue.. I mean for that price better a seiko but to be honest I tried and still was to thick for me with its ovni shape( SNXS77). This one seem to be 10mm thick and has sapphire + AR coating and the huge plus .. 36mm.

I finally got to try a Caintè Laurent 🙌🏻.

I have to say, it is a perfect fit for small wrists and a timeless piece. Of course it has the perks of coming from a fashion brand, nevertheless, it’s well executed, but, I wouldn’t buy it full price; it is definitely not worth the 355(eur) that it costs. So just get it secondhand; I had the luck to get it new with the price reduced.

PROS

  • Thin with 10 mm (what I expect from a quartz) with perfect size, 36mm always wins.

  • Bracelet : Butterfly, is lighter and better quality-wise as I expected.

  • Solid end links.

  • Elegant, simple and beautiful timeless design. Another take of a Rolex oyster perpetual.

  • Classic dial colors: Black, blue, green and white.

  • Beautiful date window.

  • Sapphire crystal with AR coat.

  • Miyota 2315 quartz Japanese movement (not wow but does the job)

  • Bezel with a particular middle split design.

CONS

  • The price, it definitely doesn’t justify the price; the owner, who seems to be a model instead of a watch enthusiast is making lots of money out of these watches (not bad for a young entrepreneur)

  • Almost nonexistent Lume. I realized there is a tiny bit while writing this.

  • Unknown fashion brand within the watch enthusiasts

  • No screw-down crown

In general I am really happy with it, I have looked for an affordable thin oyster perpetual design with 36mm without success. It is one of my favorite watches to wear just because of the looks, to be honest. My first pick would be the Traska commuter, which I truly recommend instead of the caintè- if you have the money or a seiko 5 if you are on a budget and you don’t mind the thickness.
