Hello fellow crunchers.
Just a quick question,i really want to get a couple of used/vintage watches.
Do you guys know of some professional and trustworthy sites rather than eBay(wich is neither of those)?
Also,i am from Europe so i would rather avoid costly shipping and customs fees.
Thanks.
What kind of vintage watches? Is there a particular brand or price range?
Don't know if it's different in the US, but I've found a few good ones on eBay.
Just need to do your research and ask questions.
Even with Chrono24 one could be hoodwinked.
@Porthole @Aurelian @GasWorks are some more knowledgeable folks around here. From off the top of my head.
I think that our Eurocentric crunchers like @YourIntruder swear by Watches83. I have browsed but never bought.
Depending of what you are looking for but I have found dress and sport watches at Watches83 as @Aurelian mention. I also found a couple of Omegas at WOWS
Common for both is that they have excellent photos of their objects. What you see is what you get visually.
I buy LOTS from eBay. I'm repeating what's already been said... research, ask questions, don't impulse buy...
If it's too good to be true... it very probably is.
