Squale 1521 AR coating issue
I took my Squale to the beach for the day in really hot weather and when I came back I noticed a weird mark in the AR coating near the 11 . I sent it off to Squale for repair and they told me that the damage is on the external layer of the AR and it was caused by me.
2 questions:
I had no idea whatsoever that the 1521 had a double AR coating! I couldn’t find this information anywhere. How is it possible?
Can AR can come off with high exposure to intense sunlight and temperature?

I guess so because it did. I'm surprised that it did that, considering the price and the implied quality of the Squale. I'm not surprised at all, however, that the company is claiming user error. Are they going to replace the crystal at your expense?
My sinn 556i outer AR coating did that, you can remove it with polywatch and some elbow grease
Sun didn't do that, your coating got rubbed off.
My feelings have always been that AR on the outside is too fragile to be a practical solution. I can live with just AR on the inside.
Tape off your bezel ring and Polywatch the rest of the coating off.

That's awful. Clearly, that's a defect in the coating.
