Micro Tournament Round 1 Day 1: Baltic Vs. Haim

Rules: • Voting is based on the overall brand, not the individual model or sample photo. • There are no rules on how you should choose, but you are welcome to civilly debate quality, value, heritage, etc. • Voters are encouraged to look at the hashtags for threads on individual brands or visit their sites. • Poll closes apx 11PM ET 3/14. • Be respectful of all the brands and members, even if the vote does not go your way. This is meant to be lighthearted fun to raise awareness of 64 microbrands. • Ties will go to the brand with the most unique user-owned photos of their watch on this thread. Good luck and have fun! I just discovered Haim and I really liked their offering, but it can't compete with Baltic!

🇫🇷 Vive la France 🇫🇷

·

Personal prediction: Baltic will soon join Farer in the excluded participant list.

·

Really tough round 1 draw for Haim...like their designs but have to go Baltic

·

Tough for Haim, Baltic is too strong a brand. Also this chronograph is a bit of a mixed message - a French language dial on a Chicago watch?

·

Haim was one of the few new upstarts in this competition, but yeah, Baltic could be a juggernaut on this side of the bracket so a tough draw indeed. That said, I would never have predicted any matchup this one sided.

Very tough for Haim, coming out in the first round against Baltic (which could be the overall winner (fingers crossed 😄 ))

Although the Haim Descent is a nice looking watch (for a first attempt of a diver/sport watch), the miyota 9093 they use, the dial they have created, the finishing (photos have not seen IRL) they seem to be a microbrand to follow and investigate more.

But against Baltic, yeah... they had no chance.

Poll closed for this matchup. Congratulations to Baltic.
