But hold up, where can you get a Daytona for $15K? Which model is that? That’s what I got my submariner for grey market new, such a stupid decision tbh in retrospect but live and learn.
I’m already thinking about what my next “large purchase” will be.. if Daytona at $15K is coming then that might be it..

Ah. I feel like to my generation of watch collectors the AD basically doesn’t exist. Chrono24 is the only place to buy scarcity watches for me, lol.

Many watch collectors are getting amazing watches at ADs. It is about establishing and maintaining relationship and yes, that may include keeping your jewelry shopping to a single point of contact. I get why many do not want to bother, but short of one of a major metro markets it is quite possible.

Yeah that’s true - I just started collecting right after covid basically when things at ADs were pretty bleak. But good point, I should probably start going over to the big multi AD when I want to add some new pieces before hitting up chrono24. They have pre-owned selection so buying from there could eventually be 2 birds 1 stone
