Carriage clock restoration

I realized that I am very bad at documenting my process.

I Blued all the screws on the back, polised up the hands and blued them aswell. The hands came out a bit spotty with blue and purple but I'm fine with how it looks now.

The movement is running again but let me just say, please do not "lubricate" clocks with WD-40. Getting that stuff off once it's been sitting there is a chore, especially when the escapement got the treatment aswell. I spent at least an hour just cleaning the balance wheel...

I learned the hard way that while WD40 works as a lubricant *in the moment* it's not a lubricant.

Its a water displacer; hence the WD.

Good work on the clock though!
