If you've found something you really like from any of those three, it's very likely decent. The watch above a grand I have experience with is from Marathon, but that's a pretty niche brand. If you have a specific watch in mind but some concerns or things you wish were different, asking people on here about alternatives could be useful. Personally, I've looked at a lot of sinn, damasko, cwc, Longines, squale, formex, Christopher ward, laco, stowa, and doxa recently. I ended up buying a cwc, but that's basically just as niche as marathon.
I’ve been eyeing a Christopher Ward for about 6 months and will likely pull the trigger on one next week. For me that’s really intimidating because I would have never thought of spending that much on a watch. With your three, Alpina would be my choice. Good luck 😉

It would help if you could provide some more information, you say $1k and up? what is the high end of that? Also what are your preferences? Divers, Chronographs, Dress, Sport, field, bracelet, or leather strap, etc.....
