G Shock for 16.5 cm wrist

Looking for a semi indestructible watch that I don’t have to think about / baby. G Shock came to mind. There seems to be 5000 G Shocks. Thought I’d ask all of you crunchers … recommendations appreciated.

I was dead set on my GBD200 that was before I got the 5610u.

I personally think its the best all-rounder. It has multiband 6 and tough solar!

My wrist is 6-6.5inch and fits nicely

Can’t go wrong with a square G. My preference is the GW-M5610. Fits my 17 cm wrist just fine, I’ll wager it’ll fit a 16.5 cm wrist with no complaints.

Square.

Or look at the smaller Casio Protreks. Same company, same level of toughness, markedly more useful if you go out on hikes/etc.

Another vote for 5600 or 5610. The solar/radio sync/world time stuff is nice, but it's not like the 5600 is so expensive you can't buy it then eventually get the 5610 if you like it. That's what I did, then I ended up giving the 5600 to a cousin.

The AWGM100 is also pretty compact, solar/radio/world time, but I didn't like the negative displays set so deep in the dial, which made it really hard to get the light necessary to read them. The shape of the resin bezel also has kind of sharp corners that I didn't want on a work watch. I could scrape walls or dent soft woods or potentially damage furniture.

This. Good point. I think it will be the 5600.

If you are UK based - its a shame as you may have just missed a 5610 for £80!

There's also the downsized GM-S5600 SERIES that are a little smaller still than the standard 5600/5610
