Client wanted a 3D T-Rex dial, there's none around, so make one! Found a dino coin, machined and drilled it, gold plated and aged it. Turned out alright?

Hi! Well, I turned this one in the lathe, but there are easier ways! Blank dials are readily available if you fancy painting one?

There's some nice applied numerals on ebay, from the US iirc

... and there are sellers on AliExpress who'll make your custom design in to a 3d applied decal - basic indices or as complex as you want - for a price
Wild piece, its eyesights based on bullying y'know
How thick is the dial? I want to try making one, but it seems there is pretty strict thickness requirement.

I measured a few aftermarket dials as 0.8 to 1.0mm thick, so machined this to 0.8mm at the edge. Being a raised pattern, it is much thicker at the centre, but the centre pinions on the NH35 are quite forgiving and the hands clear as they should.
