My Moonwatch
Let me start off by saying this watch was a gift, with that being said let me tell you what it signifies to me and why it will never leave the collection… In June of 2020 I like so many others lost my job due to the pandemic, since then I started working for myself and haven’t looked back. Often times in life the fear of the unknown would keep me from pushing myself, I was always afraid to take a chance on myself, afraid of leaving my comfort zone… This watch to me symbolizes what is possible once one leaves their comfort zone... I’m sure the ones who wore the Speedmaster to the moon would agree that great things are accomplished outside of ones “comfort zone”.
Life is short, take a chance on yourself, time is the only thing you can never get back.
Cool story, and an incredibly beautiful watch. I am pretty happy with my collection, but the 3861 sapphire sandwich is the only watch I have serious watch lust over
Congrats on the success you're enjoying since being forced to leave your comfort zone. The same thing happened to me almost 20 years ago, and being self employed has allowed me to do things that I'd otherwise only be dreaming of doing.
I had picked up a 3861 Sapphire sandwich in May on 2020 as a spur of the moment decision while visiting the AD. I had a bit of buyers remorse initially, but it's grown to be one the favorite watches in my collection.
A keeper for sure. It is amazing how we can step out of our comfort zone and push ourselves to new heights. I have no doubt that you will remember that experience each time you check the time.
