I am not sure, as I have never used either. Just sold to friends or acquaintances in the past. Do you know how much each will charge? I imagine it will be some sort of percentage fee rather than a flat fee, so if there is a substantial difference in what each charges, that may be something to consider.

Good point! Thanks for the info! I’ll take a look into that

Be careful with EBay fees…their luxury watch fees can be upwards of 15% out of your final sale price

I regularly sell on the Fleabay. I hate it, but it does provide some protection, but you can get screwed if your not careful.

You'll pay ~15% fee off the sale price. Any sale price over $2k and the watch automatically goes through eBay's authentication process, which gives buyers a lot of assurances.

Chrono also charges a fee. I've done one transaction on Chrono and while they hold the money in escrow, there is no authentication process.

If you trust the wild west, buyer can use WatchRecon or WatchPatrol apps, which pull listings from sites like Watchuseek. I've heard many have had good experiences, but zero guarantees on either side of th  transaction.

That's great info. I knew ebay did an authentication process for some items, but didnt realize they did it for watches too. Makes sense tho, thanks!

Watchuseek. You have to post 100 times to qualify though.

I have no experience selling through these platforms as well. However, I find selling through facebook effective (we have alot of groups created here locally) and it’s free. This is specifically local transactions. Payment can be tricky (and expensive) for international transaction. Which BB58 you selling?

i use chrono24 when i sell watches above 1,000 €. they charge you a fee of 6.5% (which is quite some money), but you can be sure that everything will be fine.

the process works as follows: you agree with the buyer and he sends the money to chrono24. they confirm that to you and you send the watch to the buyer. if he decides to keep it, he tells chrono24 to pass the money on to you. if he does not do anything, they do that automatically after a week, i think.

i have gone through this process a few times and so far there have been no problems at all.

Might be worth looking at Ebay when they have reduced fees. That can help cut the % they take.

I have sold on eBay and will no longer.  Their fees are too high and their policies are very unfair when it comes to sellers.  I highly suggest you stay way from eBay when selling watches or anything for that matter that might bring a high pricetag.

I sold on most platforms for me I have most success on watchexchange at Reddit. There’s no fee and a lot of potential buyers, especially for Bb58 if you put it below market price.

There are rules like providing a timestamp and price but fairly easy. I do suggest to use PayPal goods and services when making payment

I mostly sell on WUS, although others have mentioned that you need 100 posts and 3 months in order to sell there. The watches you are trying to sell are popular enough that you might be able to find a buyer locally through either Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. Then you won’t have any fees outside of gas to get there. Just make sure you meet somewhere secure like a bank parking lot (cameras everywhere) or a police station
