3 years of waiting… and still waiting

Waiting for now 3 years for this one to arrive. Finally got the chance to try it out at the boutique. Hopefully I won’t have to add another 3 years to the pain of waiting !

Yea dude 3 years? I’d try somewhere else they might just take joy in torturing you. Your better off just spending the extra couple grand if that’s what you really want. You can find one in damn near new condition a few years old box and papers for like $11,500 and depending on how well you know the dealer it could be tax free if paid with cash or trading up. I paid a little over 11k for my sub with tax. Just some food for thought. I’ve had the standard black sub date with the Maxi case from 2014, and the 16mm taper is a lot different than the new model. It’s deff chunkier on the 41.

I also thought about it. But I also have no rush. I still enjoy other watches in the meantime :) got the green SMP 300m last year. It has been a joy to wear and I really love that it pushed me to see that other manufacturers are doing awesome work. When the day comes though, I’ll be happy :-)

Just collected it 2 hrs ago , excellent experience, greeted by security on the door and offered a drink ,then taken to the Rolex ambassador who already had the watch on the desk ,we chatted for a while whilst I tried it for size ,he sized it removed the stickers ,I'm lucky the chap is a watch expert he collects various brands ,his Reverso is my favourite.Hope you get yours soon its so worth the wait

Faced a similar dilemma waiting for the 36mm Explorer to become available from my AD.

In Singapore, Rolex ADs don't even have a wait list, just an "interest" list that says they'll contact you when one becomes available...maybe...and you can buy it if you're fast enough. (I have yet to meet someone who actually got to buy a Rolex from an AD after being on the interest list. 🙄)

In the end, I bit the bullet and bought one brand new from a reseller. I paid a premium, of course, but according to Chrono24, the price has already gone up another 10% on top of my purchase price.
