Just unboxed a Столичные (Stolichnie) vintage russian watch.

It seems very old, a bit dingy, but the dial is in quite good condition. And it works fine (so far).

I love these grandpa style watches...

It was 30+ years ago when I last learned russian, but with a little google help:

17 камней = 17 stones

1 мчз им. кирова = Первый московский часовой завод им. кирова= the first Moskow watch factory in Kirov

сделано в ссср = Made in CCCP
