Watch Connoisseur Club - New kid on the reviewer block - so very Entertaining!

Though usually I would NEVER take technical advice from a male with earrings and long hair (unless it’s musical advice) - this guy is Pure Gold. He’s got all the best of Bavarian snobbish qualities minus the Britannic politeness — just absolutely fabulous. He’s spot on— on so many things. Keep an eye out for this mate. Good find. I like to hear a different opinion from the usual "influencer" Youtube channels.

Who cares if he has long hair? What year is it, 1950?

He isn't really telling anything we don't already know. I think the issues with Seiko is they need to update their manufacturing system, in particular the bracelets. I really do not have an issue with all of the other items he called out, but I don't dispute they are probaby true.

That's a purely technical view on a watch. Not saying he is wrong or right. Unfortunately he seems to forget why people really loves watches and that's for the connection you have with a certain model or brand etc. Again not saying he's all wrong but it's his opinion and it is valid. I think most people willing to commit spending a certain amount of money on a watch will read and make a clear decision before buying. And at this point people who likes the pressage will buy it with its flaws and like it either way.

Some watches as way better specifications at this price that's for sure but the Pressage has its own thing.

Some have baught some very high specs watches but don't connect with it and it lays in a drawer somewhere. It's not just about the technical aspects of watch.

Anyway it's good to have multiple points of view to make a clear decision before any buy and he is showing some aspects that are good to know.

And I don't care about what people wears or how they dress or if they look different then me. I want to know more about what they have to say or think. I will always have respect for people who can give opinions with respect and politeness.

Thank you for sharing this YouTube channel. 👍

Yup! Purely technical. Just between you and I (and all those that read this) I was going to come down hard on him in the YouTube commenst section but I also read that MOST of his responses to people's comments was "It's all about wearing the watch you love"... so I realized his rant was very one sided--like you said-- purely technical. Funny as hell though -- his personality and his passion come through in a hilarious fashion. I coudn't but smile through his entire video. I like the kid, He's the age of my own kids---young-- but very clever.

I happen to love the 4r35 because I can easily find parts for it or replace the whole movement for nothing if needed. It's accuracy is HEAVILY understated. I have a few (like on my helm) that run COSC! While some of my Homage watches have DG movements that when a part fails I can't readily find replacements. You're spot on brother!!!!

... and earrings!!! 😉 I admit I'm from the old-school. 🙂 I have some prejudice with anyone who is not native american-- or not at least a known rockstar having long hair and earings on both ears. I grew up with Neal Schon (guitarist for Journey) my life long neighbor... he has short hair now. Will be a grandad soon. However rest easy!!!! I promise you his long hair and earings DO NOT bother me as much as the 4r35 movement bothers him. Cheers.

Everything he said is true - that's what made it funny. Surprised he didn't talk about alignment! another Seiko QC issue. He was not entirely accurate on the 4r35 movement -- it is actually built like a tank and very serviceable and readily available on all 6 continents (not including Antarctica 🙂 ). The movement almost always performs way better than the wide/loose understated specs Seiko claims.

Well he's not wrong. When you look at most watched objectively, they fall apart quickly. But who the Hell wants to do that.

Also, he reminds me of a young Jason Flemyng in Lock Stock.

Apparently he listens to the market. Cut his hair and left the Rock and Roll 70's. All cleaned up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L77yocvqU7A
