Are prices getting silly?

Since the supply of ETA movements dried up, I have noticed that Sellita and the like are no longer the affordable alternatives they once were. In fact some brands, like TAG Heuer, charge the same price and it's a lottery whether you get an ETA or a Sellita. The Japanese movements seem to be creeping up in price, too, with fewer and fewer affordable automatic options. Is this part of the market maturing or is it a sign of things to come?
