Is the British watch market resurging?

I've noticed a lot more prominent British brands on the watch market lately. Not just pseudo-British Chinese factory brands like AVI-8, but legitimate ones making quality watches: Bremont, Marloe and W.T. Author immediately spring to mind. Is the British Watch industry having a resurgence?

I hope so. It's always good to see a thing you like still being made in your country (Aston Martin still put their cars together in Warwickshire and rolls are still in Goodwood whereas jaguar have buggered off to Malaysia and still say British made).

Bremont seem to be an up and coming brand, If people like Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford buy them willingly then surely they can't be complete crap.

Well, I'm soon to buy a Rotary Henley Seamatic in blue, so I'm keeping the British end up.
