Sunday Swapout #3

As I continue my journey of committing to a two watch rotation each week…

Third Swapout today, and a few interesting points (to me, at least)

  • My NTTD Seamaster barely got a look in (I think I wore it only once). This could be due to the weather turning a bit here in Sydney, but also perhaps maybe because that BB54 is just too damn tempting each day - it really is just perfect and is never not appropriate. I am also really appreciating it on the rubber and the look that gives, along with the T-fit clasp, which is so well constructed.

  • I therefore need to consider whether the NTTD is perhaps one best saved for the summer months and associated dressing, or whether it’s firmly on the chopping block

  • During the week I was contemplating which casual watch to opt for for the next rotation. I had my Doxa Sub 300 front of mind, but when it came down to it the thought of the BB54 going back in the box made me realise that a week without a Tudor on the wrist is a sad week indeed, so I’m instead back to my FXD, which is making a re-appearance earlier than expected.

Accompanying the FXD is my 114270 which, although very special to me, hasn’t got much of a look in lately. Let’s see what this week brings!

Overall I really am finding this exercise is bringing me a lot of clarity as to what I value in my collection - definitely keen to stick with it.

Have a blessed Sunday Crunchers ✌️

How do you decide which two watches you will pare in a week? The BB54 and Seamaster are very similar in tone.

The plan is to opt for one smart, one casual. After a week where the options felt really polarised (see previous post ‘#2’) I decided to go for two versatile options (but as you call out they were similar and therefore one didn’t get any wrist time). Back to a proper distinction between smart and causal this week.

I see what you mean about the NTTD being a summer watch. It’s heating up here in Arizona and I’ve started wearing that one a lot. The warm tones match the vibe/weather😂

Nice watches. Could you please tell me the name and color of the band on your Tudor ? Thanks

Thank you so much. Just can’t find the right one for my Tudor bronze with blue bezel. This should help
