A weekend of watches kicked off today with the Windup Watch Fair, to be continued tomorrow with WatchTime New York. This year's Windup is event bigger; they added a whole second floor of exhibits. So herewith and yet more random watches encountered today; this is just a selective sample.

Nice shots, how beautiful were those Minase in person right? Did you have any that jumped to the top of your must buy queue?

That Minase would be if it weren't $15k. Interested in so many others, but I just got a Grand Seiko, and I have two more in the works with deposits down, so I shouldn't spend the money. That Formex forged carbon is quite cool.

Very cool, yeah the price is tough on the Minase. Which GS? I will tell you the Formex Carbon has quickly become one of my favorites in the watchbox.

By Xeric. They seem to specialize in funky watches. Far cheaper than an Urwerk, but at $1,300, it's still not quite an impulse buy.
@AllTheWatches , the SBGA493. You have the forged carbon? Nice! Tell me more about it. How does it wear? And how does it hold up? I've been told that carbon fiber scratches easily, and doesn't hold up to wear and tear.
Very nice GS! It holds up quite well and I’ve yet to notice any scratches. I have the canvas strap which has a great on the fly micro adjust. It wears much smaller than the dimensions and because of the weight, you barely notice it.
Great photos!
Is that the CW The Twelve in 36mm? How’d it feel on the wrist? Size looks great!
Great pics - I like that you took pics of the most interesting designs
On the Mondaine, was there any hints when they are going to release their stop2go again ... or is this one of them ?

They said they very soon. In fact, she said she hoped to have some for the fair, but they didn't arrive in time. According to her, the movement supplier stopped producing movements during lockdown, and they had to find a new one.
BTW, I didn't get a watch, but I did get a stop2go clock!
