Citizen Chronomaster Sale
I got an email from the Citizen boutique in Times Square, NYC, that they're running a sale on a couple of Chronomaster models, aka The Citizen, for 60% off, or about $1,160. On offer are the AQ4000-51L and AQ4000-51L for 60% off, or about $1,160. If you're in town, and in the market, it might be worth a look.
I already have me a Chronomaster, and these aren't compelling enough for me to jump on a second one, so I guess I'm not in the market. But since they were nice enough to email me personally, I figured I'd share the information.
I don't get Citizen and Chronomasters. They refuse to sell them outside of Japan; this is one of the few places you can get them retail. And even so, they tell me that they have to fight for stock, and Citizen won't let them have any of the washi paper ones that people want. They ran a sale last summer, and their meager stock got even more meager. Are the liquidating what they have left? Will they get more? I find this all rather mysterious.

@kznszn, it's the only place I know of that has Chronomasters, though I seem to remember someone mention a boutique in Miami or something. Their selection is really thin, though.

Oh, oops, my bad, I totally didn't notice. They are the AB9000-52L and the AQ4000-51L.
The AB9000-52L isn't Eco-Drive, and the look of the AQ4000-51L is a bit off somehow. So these aren't the watches for me.
I went back to the Citizen boutique a couple of days before the sale was supposed to start just to see what's what. They quoted me 25% off (as they usually do), but they didn't mention the sale. That seemed odd, but since I didn't really intend to buy, I didn't pursue it.
