Looking for dress/dressy watch

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a recommendation to complete my 3+1 kit.

I need dress or dressy watch.

The requirements:

  1. 37-39mm

  2. Indexes are preferred

  3. Silver color without gold

  4. Black leather strap

  5. Simple dial (white or maybe black color)

  6. Budget 800-1500$

I don't wear black/white tie or business. Mostly business casual/casual. I need the watch for more formal events.

My favorites:

  1. Rado Coupole Classic R22860045 (my favourite in the list)

  2. Mido BARONCELLI HERITAGE M027.407.16.010.00

  3. Jungjans max bill quartz/automatic (I can't say that I love Bauhaus design)

PS: I’m also consider Hamilton murh 38mm (you can take a look at my pic I attached how it looks on my hand) but I'm not sure that the way is proper.

What did I miss? Thank you for any recommendations.

I like the Mido. I’ve had a Mido in the past was happy with them

You don't "need" any particular style of watch. Buy what you like most regardless of style. So long as you'll wear and enjoy it, go for it!

·

Could you stretch to a Tudor 1926?

·

If you don't like the Max Bill design, you might look at the Milano solar watches from Junghans. I really like mine. It came on a mesh strap but I replaced it.

I’m fond of dressy watch. I’ve cheap Swiss Military by chrono dressy watch but I want to replace it.

Nivada Gretchen Super Antartic.

Tissot Heritage 1938

Mido is great looking and fantastic value of the three. Would also suggest to look for tank style dress watch which would also add difference in your collection. Nomos tetra?

It looks interesting, thanks. There is no official black leather strap, brown only.

Of the 3, I’d choose the Rado as it has shiny applied indices and the most interesting dial.

Reminds me of a Seiko Presage Cocktail Time, only Swiss. 😆

That said, I’d choose the Rado over a white dialed Seiko Presage Cocktail Time.

Yeah, I thought about tank style with gold color and brown leather strap. It probably will be my next watch after this dress.

Take a look at the „tissot le locle powermatic 80“. Definitly worth to consider, price big advantage about 700$.

Open-heart version available too for round 150$ more to basic model.

Leather straps fits perfectly.

White and black dial to choose from.

Date included.

Take a look. Also a nice piece on my list 👌

Btw I would consider Seiko prestige 38,5mm but they don't have sapphire crystal.

How have you liked your DS Action diver? I am highly anticipating the same watch showing up for me in the mail any day now (it was my holiday sale splurge this year)

·

Also I have a Tudor 1926 in 39mm Opaline dial and love it so I agree with above comment if you can stretch it to a lightly used 1926 it’s an amazing option. For dress watches I think a lightly used nomos can be had for the right price and is tough to beat for value.

I think the gentlemen open heart is a sleeper watch people overlook. I already have a PRX I love and wear regularly but if I could take it back I would have gotten the gentlemen open heart model.

I would check out Frédérique Constant. It’s a super underrated brand, especially if you are willing to buy quartz

Of these I like the Mido. But it’s really close.

I love the watch. Mostly I wear it if the weather is warm. But I want to mention if your wrist size is small, it can be too big. My wrist size is 17,5-18, and I feel comfortable.

Very good option. There is only one reason I don't consider it because I don't like Romanian dial.
