[Vulcain][Cartier] New Watch Acquisition x2

A few pieces to celebrate a new job.

The Vulcain Cricket is a NOS 70s piece from a fellow Discord member. 18k gold plated. First pic is on the original leather strap, second is a black suede, and the rest are gold colored mesh. Vulcain has been teasing their Cricket revival on their Instagram. Here's a video of my piece from the seller before I received it.

A few weeks, I tried on the Cartier Roadster L vs the Chronograph XL, and agreeing with many of you, I decided on the time only piece. I got it in amazing condition from Timepeaks, who act like a middleman between Rakuten and residents outside Japan. First pic is the only one in natural light. It's pretty hard to capture without glare since the dial is silver, not white. I think it's the same with the current gen Santos, white in photos, silver in real life. I tried to capture the guilloche in the center of the dial in the other photos. So far, it's been a fingerprint magnet, but I'd much prefer that over a scratch magnet. I have enjoyed it on the bracelet for a few hours after getting it sized today. I don't think I'll be shelling out $800 for a Cartier OEM strap and buckle any time soon ($350-450 for strap, $300 for buckle, confirmed at a boutique last week)

Let me know what you think! What are some watches you're on the hunt for? Anything you try on recently that swayed over your heart (and/or brain)?
