Easy way to reattach bracelet to 44GS case Grand Seiko

I've been wearing my SBGJ235 on an aftermarket strap for awhile but decided to go back to the original bracelet this weekend.

I realized that putting the bracelet back on a 44GS case is extremely difficult for me due to how the way the lugs are angled. After scratching the lug ends several times, it took me 6-7 tries to position the spring bar JUST right at the underside of the lugs before I was able to push it in with my spring bar tool.

Do any of you all have a trick with dealing with the 44GS case and lugs? I don't have much problem with other bracelets and cases.
