Aqua terra - years manufactured

Hi Watch fans,

I have a question regarding Omega serial number and years manufactured.

I was looking at an Aqua Terra (ref 220.10.41.21.02.001) 150m 41mm silver dial and it's serial number: 83 XXX XXX and am wondering what year it was manufactured. According to what I've read about this reference number it was first introduced in 2017. So I would like to know when this watch was actually manufactured.

According to this site https://www.thewatchstandard.com/complete-guide-to-understanding-omega-serial-numbers/, the 83 start in the serial number is supposed to designate 2007 manufactured date. But how can this be true if the watch was not even introduced until 2017?

Am I misunderstanding this?

Doh! As pointed out by @MegaBob

"...until around 2019. That was when the brand hit 99,999,999...started using randomized eight digit numbers...The randomization means it will be more difficult, if at all possible, to work out the year the most recent models were made."

I should've read the site fully 🤦‍♂️. Thanks, Omega.
