Pagani Design PD1706 "Coke"

3 watches arrived today and this bb85 homage was the one I was most excited about. But that movement had my heart drop for a moment.

The Chinese movement Pearl DG5833A - I'm used to Seiko's automatic movements now which usually only need a tiny shake to get them moving. Shaking this led to nothing. Trying not to panic I removed all the plastic and resized the bracelet. Few more shakes, still nothing, so thankfully after around 50 winds on the crown it came to life. The rotor is quite noisy and thats the only negatives with this watch.

The bracelet is fantastic with screw links, The bezel has no play at all. I see the lume is pretty good in some reviews but I wear a lorus full lume field watch for bed so thats never an issue with watches for me.

I'm a fan of Pepsi bezels and I have to say the Coke bezel ia swaying me a little. It looks great. Generally the finish on this is really good, there was a little qc problem on one of the links luckily I removed that link.

I have always had good experiences with PD. However, I always stick to Seiko movements.

Yeah I made the mistake of thinking this was similar to the bb58 v2 which has a Seiko movement. It seems ok now but I'll definitely be double checking the description twice from now on.

Agreed! I buy straight from the PD website because I’m worried if I buy on Ali I might get stuck with an older version. I think PD now offers some watches with a Seiko movement that has GMT function. The good thing about PD is they are inexpensive enough to just buy a new one.
