When my father died, I got from him a 1960s Omega Seamaster DeVille that belonged to his father. He never wore it and it just sat in the box for years. I started looking at it one day and admired the construction and finish. It got me interested in the hobby. That was early 2022.
Actually started back in 2021. Was a dark period of my life, having alot of change thrown at me quickly, but i found myself a new hobby through youtuber Nico Leonard 😂 Ever since then its been countless days and nights consuming watch content, learning and researching on youtube, IG, Tiktok, and recently, WatchCrunch, and its been a blast!

I had always been a casual watch fan, mostly fashion brands (Fossil). I also had always been interested in the mechanics of trucks early in life. When I was 25, I became paralyzed from the chest down due to a strep infection on my spinal cord. After that I was severely hampered in what I could do with cars, so I moved to the next mechanical thing that I had; guns. That was fun but with the rising cost and scarcity of ammo and no good place to shoot, I decided to stop pursuing that, leaving a mechanical yearning in my heart unfulfilled. I started watching watch guys on YouTube and in 2019 I bought my first mechanical watch, an Orient Bambino XL. The rest is history!

Sometime in the early 60's I got a Timex as a present. After a couple years I bought one or two more.
The pattern has continued ,in varying degress, for over 5 decades decades.
