Discovering My Style - My Seiko SRPE67K1 Review

My #dresskx, is my new found love and favourite style. This is the matte bezel version from the 6x variant of the SRPE line. Seiko has nailed the best of design and practicality with really nothing to complain about in this watch. Many things to nitpick but for the price it retails today, you can’t really get a better watch from a world class brand. I’m looking forward to getting a Tudor BB influenced by the dresskx - a solid watch to look forward to.

I wish the dresskx came with better stock strap options and domed sapphire or acrylic crystal options (yes, a domed acrylic is easier to maintain than the hardlex), with prices suitably adjusted. Wishful thinking apart, the current package is good on its own and must suit everyone who wants to own this style - well done. It is going to be a month with this watch and I haven’t gotten a chance to track the movement’s accuracy - so far I haven’t needed to adjust the time while wearing the watch continuously for a week or more.

This watch helped me realise I love non rotating, smooth and slim bezels and made me let go of my Captain Willard. I also let go of some Casios, HMTs and Timexes as I realized I was inclined more towards dresskx style.

Added a James Bond style nato to the kit and the watch looks smashing. The stock black strap is also a looker giving the watch a stealthy all black look.

Lume is particularly good on this model given it’s black dial and stealthy outfit it’s currently on. Just stunning to look at. The indices and hands are also very well done and offer great contrast and readability with the black dial in the background. The implementation puts more expensive watches to shame.

If you’re looking to buy one, please start with eBay for best deals. IMHO, the MSRP is still higher compared to the prices on eBay deals. Ofc, whatever floats your boat!

This watch is a must have watch in your collection!

Proportions check - 40 mm dia, lug to lug 44.6 mm on 6.3 inch wrist. Outer side of my wrist (directly where the watch rests) is roughly 6.5 cm/2.5 inches wide. Nato strap makes the watch thicker than what it is (11.5 mm) but I like how snugly it holds the watch.

If Seiko releases a 38 mm dia version with 44.2 mm lug to lug like the SRPK line, I’d definitely try it having experienced the goodness of this one!
