Has anyone used Dukwin winders?

Does anyone have any experience with Dukwin watch winders?

I see that they have a mid year sale on, prices are cut by 30% with the code MID30.

I've been looking for storage for my watches, and with my new Longines Master i've been considering a single winder. At $245 for a 4 watch winder with storage for another 6, that will wind the Longines and display the others for the same price as some storage boxes.

I'm tempted to go for it, but would love to hear from any others if they think the product is any good.

I immediately think I would have to have a demagnetizer ready after putting my watches in it.

What gives you that impression?

Many of the inexpensive winders, I know that is relative, infamously magnetize watches due to the magnets in the rotors. Many times I’ve been at the AD and folks walk in and their watches are suddenly running fast. Without fail:

  • “Did you have this on a wonder?”

  • “Yes”

  • “Where did you get the winder? Is it from a reputable brand?”

  • “I grabbed it on Amazon, I think so, it’s called <insert nonsensical name>”

SA runs test, watch is magnetized. That’s my fear with almost every generic winder. I’d stick to known, trusted brands, or skip a wonder all together.
