Pencil Sketch on a Bracelet. The Zelos Mako Frost GMT Review

Hello Crunchers.

Today I offer you a review of one of the watches ever. This is, of course, the Zelos Mako Frost GMT.

This is @JBird7986 's watch he chose for the #1wc. Maybe we should call him JailBird because it seems like a prison sentence to have to wear this watch every day until this is over. It was an interesting choice, to say the least, especially since it was chosen over a beautiful Glycine Airman and a stunning JLC that he possesses, as seen in past WRUW posts. Nevertheless, it is a better choice than some in the competition.

Let's start with the case. Eh, it's ok. The lugs got that weird thing where they make a right angle with the interior of the lug width. That's not a bad thing per se, but it's always interesting to see when companies choose to not make special end links for their products. the finishing looks pretty darn good, however.

Not to mention the 4 O'clock crown, my least favorite place to put it. Although it is a lumed crown, which is a nifty thing.

Let's now touch on the star of the show, the dial. She's quite the spectacle. the black circles on the white background make me feel a bit sickly. In my mind, it's supposed to be the opposite way around. It reminds me of turning on light mode on a website when there is a superior option of dark mode available and ready for use. Of course, this is what the designers had to do to allow for a fully lumed dial, which is in some form redeeming. It must be a stellar thing to witness in the dark.

The handset? Oh dear. It is not coherent enough for me personally. The hour and minute hand have their own thing going on, while the GMT hand and seconds hand are like a hodgepodge of different elements. However, I do like that the GMT hand has an orange arrow. I can always get behind some orange.

In all, however, it's a cool watch. I have been making some big stretches to find things to complain about, and I have definitely been being too harsh when you look at what's on my wrist. It's more of a watch than I ever owned, and I respect it. It's a limited edition, which is a cool thing in its own regard. Zelos makes some awesome pieces, and I'm glad that it has made it this far in the competition so I can see it every day.
