Glad to be part of this community!

Hello there!

My name is Stefan and for the passion for watches I am here to help other members to find their desired pieces by trading my time for them. I started to be interested in watches a few years ago when I gifted my father an Orient Sport RA-AA0003R19B and he loved it. At that moment I realised my passion is not only about watches or collectibles but seeing the smile on people's faces.

Hope you guys have a great day!

Some questions, for the benefit of the community, if I may.

  1. What tiers of watches do you typically work in? <$1K, $1K-$2.5K, $2.5K-$5K, $5K to $10K, $10K+.
  2. How long does the typical hunt take?
  3. Do you guarantee validity of the watches you broker?
  4. What is the fee structure for your services?
  5. Tell us the story of your greatest locating success or most interesting locating experience.

From The Timist to The Locator, I just wanted to say a heartfelt "welcome" 😊 very interesting way of extracting joy from watches - helping others find their perfect timepiece and in the process finding joy - very cool!

Thank you for your interest! And let me answer your questions:

  1.  It doesn't matter usually, after I get the model of the watch I am looking for a few hours with my close contacts to see if that model is available on the market somewhere in the world.
  2.  Depending on the rarity of the piece, it could take a few days to one month or more (I will keep updated the customer usually during the process.)
  3.  Yes, before I found a store or a private seller that has the watch I check the documents for the validity, if the client has any suspicions especially from the private sellers I can also ask for further validity checkings.
  4.  The fee structure is percentage based. For example a 1K watch the commission is 20% and for a 10K watch the commission is 10-5% depending on the rarity. (This is just an example, all the terms are discussed before everything starts.
  5.  The most interesting one was actually not in the watch field (for the watches area I didn't get yet a client that requested an extremely rare piece.). The most exciting one was an inscribed Beretta by Arturo Rojas made for one of the members of the Medellin Cartel. I found it in a box from a container at a dock auction that was seized by the FBI. It was a complete journey but it was worth the time. Unfortunately, I signed a non-disclosure agreement with the client and I am not allowed to post photos.

I hope my answer is clear enough. Have a great day and I am open for more questions!
