IWC Spitfire Chronograph - A true Flieger

Hi everybody!

After eying the IWC Pilot’s Chronograph collection for years now, I finally pulled the trigger on the Spitfire model that was introduced at SIHH 2019.
When I first got into watches a few years ago, I fell in love with the „Le Petit Prince“ edition, but wasn’t able to afford one back then. It was on my wishlist since then, but I always postponed the purchase for other things.
I have a strong connection with the city of Schaffhausen and IWC was probably the first luxury watch brand I’ve ever known due to my father’s interest in it.
It was only a matter of time until I get one, but I eventually went for the Spitfire instead of the LPP. The reasons are:

• It looks less formal and classy, more „natural“
• It is 3mm smaller in diameter
• It has an in-house caliber IW69380, the LPP doesn’t

I really enjoy the design of the watch. It wears comfortable on the textile strap, but I already saw many pictures of it on various nato straps which looked really good!

Cheers.

Thanks! I had to decide between the LPP that you have and this one, and the size and movement lead me to this decision :D
