I just bought a Zelos Comet 39, this little bugger is real hard to wind, SW215 I believe. It's rated at 42 hours, if I wind it until the push-back from the crown tells me it's getting tight, I only get 12 hours out of it. I just wound it until it stopped, but 3/4 of those turns were much, much harder than anything else I have. Is this a common attribute with this movement? At this rate, I see the crown stem snapping. there's no way it's going to last for the long haul.

I have 3 Zelos watches, but none with a Sellita movement. I do have an Oris with a Sellita movement, and the winding action on that one is a bit tight, but not unreasonably so.
That sounds like a defective movement to me. Shouldn’t be hard to wind and will just stop when it is fully wound. Seen this a few times. Watch/crown gets damaged somewhere between the factory and the sale point.
